Here are some common questions and answers about Tomoson's star rating:
Are Ratings Anonymous?
Yes. All ratings are anonymous to prevent rating retaliation.
Influencer Star Rating: How Is It Calculated?
Influencers are rated with a combined score based on the quality of content for a campaign and their follow-through percentage. After an influencer completes their tasks, a brand has the opportunity to rate the influencer based on the quality of the content the influencer created. Tomoson does not allow the brand to rate an influencer based on a post being in favor or against their product. It is strictly based on the quality of the image, text, or video posted online.
Common reasons for poor content quality scores are due to blurry pictures, bad video quality, or poorly written text on a blog post. Here is a great post on what makes good and bad social content.
An influencer's follow-through percentage is automatically calculated based on the last 30 campaigns they completed. As the influencer completes tasks, their follow-through percentage can increase or decrease based on the number of campaigns they completed on time.
Influencers can see a breakdown of their last 30 campaigns on their dashboard. Click on the star rating in your dashboard to open a new window and see the star rating details. To ensure your follow-through percentage stays high, always contact support at least 7 days in advance of the due date, if you have not received the product or your coupon code doesn't work.
Brand Star Rating: How Is It Calculated?
Brands are rated based on a recommendation from influencers they've worked with. Once an influencer completes their tasks they have the opportunity to rate if they would recommend the brand to other influencers based on communication and professionalism. Brands can also see their star rating at the top of their dashboard.
How Can I Improve My Star Rating?
Influencers: The most common reasons for influencers having a poor rating is not completing tasks on time, or poor image/video quality. Here are three articles on writing better blog posts, creating better Youtube videos, and good and bad examples of social content. You can also apply to a lot of easy approval campaigns and finish them on time. Follow-through percentage is a rolling number (your last 30 campaigns), so you can improve your score by completing more campaigns. Each campaign you complete is worth about 3.33%.
Brands: The most common reason for an influencer giving you a poor recommendation is your lack of communication. If an influencer sends you a message please respond to them within 24 hours. You don't need to log back into Tomoson to do that, simply reply from your email and it will go to the influencer. Also, make sure your coupon codes are always good and don't expire too early, which is the second most common reason for a poor rating.
Can I Filter By Star Rating?
Yes. Both brands and influencers are able to filter by star rating.
Note: This feature is new so it might take a little bit of time to populate results for brands.
Can I Edit A Star Rating?
Yes. Brands and influencers can edit any star rating after they have made it. You can edit a rating by going to a brand or influencer's profile page who you've worked with.
How Long Do I Have To Give A Rating?
Brands and influencers have 7 days after the completion of a campaign to leave a rating for each other. Also, if the influencer applies to another one of the brand's campaigns in the future and completes the tasks, both parties will have another chance to rate each other.
